Groupe Lebel's first plant was acquired in Squatec, Témiscouata, by its founder, Deniso Lebel, in 1956. Since then, several plants have been annexed to the family business. The company continues to grow, and now has 23 sawmills and value-added product plants in addition to its head office and sales office.
Groupe Lebel is one of Eastern Canada's leading lumber manufacturers, employing over 1,400 employees in regional areas. We are present in seventeen municipalities in Quebec, two in Ontario, one in New Brunswick and one in the U.S. state of Maine.
